Many times, due to uncontrollable life circumstances, people
are "long on problems" and "short on cash." And while logically that is the time
to get help, money is usually what stands in the way of getting that help. Deciding to put food on the table
or gas in the car 'wins out' over seeking hope and help for the heart. But it doesn't have to be that
way.
If you have ever sponsored a child in a Third World Country, or have supported a missionary family either
here or abroad, you know the satisfaction giving brings. There is a joy in knowing your gift made just getting
through 'another day' possible for someone in need. Similarly, 'sponsoring' someone you know who needs
the 'extra help' counseling can bring is doing the same thing, just closer to home. Days don't seem so long
when you have hope.
